What is the deal with govt making ppl in the customer service going for courses that is suppose to make us serve the customers betteR? I mean..the problem does not lie in us. It lies in the CUSTOMERS and our EMPLOYERS!
SINGAPOREANS are just plain fucked up. Ever tried talking to a stranger out of no reason? Well..most of the time i'd either get a cold shoulder, confronted or a stare(they stare with the belief they could actually kill me or something with their stare). Same goes for customer service. We can treat a customer oh so nicely and what do we get? IGNORED! Everyone knows what it is like to be talking to wall right? It'd make you look crazy and dumb. So, if the government were to make us serve customers better...i think they would need to send the CUSTOMERS instead to courses instead of us.
And then there's the tipping part. Place where i work, the pay is no more then $800 a month. And with CPF cut off...i think i'd get to bring home lower then that. I dont really care because im in for the experience and to fill up the time till i get enlisted in april. Plus, i still have my parents to depend on! But imagine the others...800 fucking dollars a month! HOw the heck are they going to live? What? Eat at work where the cooks have cooked something for you? That would be okay...but what abt their family?!?! I mean...already the employers pay so low. But it's expected, when you become a waiter, your pay isnt going to help you get by; ITS YOUR TIPS!! Well...some customers do tip. Then there's those stingy customers. Even for a bloody 30 cents, they decided to make a bloody big fuss about it! WHAT THE HELL!?!? I was going to take out the 30 cents from my pocket and just give it to them right on the spot. But..hey, my shift was over. SO it wasnt my problem rite? Of course...
I mean, after all the things we do for them, they wouldnt even let us keep 30cents?!? What the hell...Generally, customers do not tip. That's the ultimate truth in SIngpaore. Stupid ppl.
Delifrance is worsE. The tips that we get from the customers, we have to bring it to the tip box. At the end of the day, the company pockets the tips. What they hell?! WE dont even get bonuses! YOU WANT BETTER SERVICE?! PAY MORE!!!
